It would not be wrong to say that the news and entertainment industry was not prepared for the emergence of the new streaming systems and technologies. The traditional broadcast media controlled by major news and entertainment networks were doing fine while using the relatively modern communication satellites and cables to broadcast their produced and curated content to home, offices, and institutions.
